Prize: $300 + Riot Prizing
Teams: 32 Players


Tournament Format

  • 32 players playing from Escape Portal Esports Lounge, Perth Western Australia
  • Groups Stage will consist of 4 rounds with top 8 players with most points advancing to final
  • Final Stage will consist of 2 rounds with top 3 players being awarded prizes
  • Scores will be reset after group stage
  • 10:00 – 10:30 Register you have arrived at the front counter and receive seat allocation
  • 10:30 – 11:00 Setup/warmup
  • 11:00 – 15:00 Group Stage (4 Rounds)
  • 15:30 – 18:00 Finals (3 Rounds)
  • 18:15 – Awards Presented

[Outside of these hours you are welcome to purchase standard Portal time and use the facilities if pcs are available]

What are the Prizes?

  • 1st Place Prize – $150 + Medal + Riot Prizes
  • 2nd Place Prize – $80 + Riot Prizes
  • 3rd Place Prize –  $50 + Riot Prizes

How Can I get to Portal?

Closest train station is Cannington Station
Please ensure you park in the correct zones, as 2P has now commenced
Underground Parking is Free and available to Escape Portal Customers

When Should I arrive?

Should aim to arrive no later than 15 minutes after doors open so admins can sort groups and the event can start on time – 10:15am

What Can I Bring?
You are welcome to bring peripherals such as; mouse, keyboard, headset, mousepad

Please remember there is no outside food and drink permitted but you are welcome to purchase snacks + drinks from portal kiosk

(example of what NOT to bring; Bottles of soft drink, Mcdonalds, Dominoes etc)

How is this event scored?

Group stage players will have 4 rounds to get as many points as possible. At the end of the 4th match the 8 players with the most points will move on to the final.
First 2 rounds are pre-determined before the event starts (when you arrive you will know who you are playing in the first 2 rounds), the last 2 rounds groups are based on the points of the first 2 rounds.

  • Players will earn points based on the following criteria:
    • First Place in a Match = 14 points
    • Second Place in a Match = 10 points
    • Third Place in a Match = 8 points
    • Fourth Place in a Match = 6 points
    • Fifth Place in a match = 4 points
    • Sixth Place in a match = 2 points
    • Seventh Place in a match = 1 point
    • Eight place in a match = 0 points

How do I sign up?
Purchase a ticket by clicking REGISTER FOR EVENT online or you may register at the front counter, during operating hours, before the event if spots are available. (please be aware there are only 32 spots available, do not leave it to the last day try and register early to guarantee your spot)

Is there an age Limit?
There is no age limit, however all entrants are required to be an escape portal member which is free and can be made instore. Please note under 15 requires parent consent on sign up.

Are spectators allowed?
Yes, You are welcome to come into the venue and spectate the event. Please note all occupants are required to sign up to escape portal t&c’s which is free and can be done on the day at the front counter.

Please try not to block accessways if you grab a chair to watch a friend play 😀

Can I Stream?
Unfortunately no, Escape Portal is not currently setup for streaming on individual pcs.

How are the Games Recorded?
An admin is on standby to record your match results, please leave the match score up.

I’m unable to attend, can I get a refund?
If we are able to find a replacement for your spot before the event starts, Your escape portal account will be credited with 5 hours of game time.

I Don’t agree with the admins Ruling, What can I do?
Before prizes are awarded you may speak to the head event admin (this person will be identified before first matches are played) on the day for final decision, however it will be rare that the admins ruling will be overturned.

I’d prefer for my photo not to be taken, What can I do?
We have some amazing sponsors who would love to see everyone having fun at this event. You may request photos to be taken down from social media if you feel they are exploitive or dangerous.

  • No Collusion – No you can’t get your friend to let you kill them for your stats
  • We are all here to have fun so enjoy the event 😀
